PARIS
A Balcony Can Be A Wonderful Thing
Surely doing nothing is no job at all. Sometimes the less you do, the less you say, the better. Paris was the third and last stop of my Europe trip in December 2016. I always dreamed of having a room with a balcony if I have any chances to stay in Paris. "How would that be to enjoy the view above Paris?" I wondered. Le Placide Hotel is located in the heart of Saint-Germain in Paris. Everything was almost perfect, however, the weather wasn't warm enough to have a lovely breakfast in the morning. (Actually is was too cold to leave the bed.)
View Above Paris...
“Having strong relationships is vital for our health and happiness. and hygge definitely helps us to do this by focusing our mind on time spent with loved ones.” quoted from HYGGE, Marie Tourell Søderberg. The word hygge in Danish means thinking and feeling satisfied. To me, hygge is to be in somewhere new with my family. I spent a week here with my mother and was deeply touched by the welcome we received from hotel staffs.
The English language is no music to Parisian's ears.
We always yelled "Bonjour!" first before uttering a few English words guiltily.(I believe it would be more polite.) I opened the window, jumped out with my fluffy slippers, and was fond of watching passersby wandering leisurely around Le Bon Marche. "Wow, so that's how it feels." Whenever I feel sad, I count my blessings and realise that I am very fortunate. You should know, sometimes doing nothing is the hardest job of all. It'll take away every ounce of energy that you have.
